Why this page exists
A Once Upon Your Voice book may include likenesses of children, family members, pets, and a recording of a beloved voice. We will not create your book without your confirmation that you have the right to share those materials.
Photographs
Having a photograph is not the same as owning its copyright. You confirm that you may authorize us to reproduce and adapt every image you submit, including photographs from a professional photographer, a school, a studio, or social media.
We may use those photographs as visual references and, when that is part of the order, crop, retouch, stylize, or transform them into custom illustrations. Artwork may be interpretive and may not reproduce a person, pet, place, or object exactly.
Voice
You may submit only a recording of yourself, or of a person who has knowingly authorized the recording and the uses described in our Terms. If the speaker is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must authorize it.
A recording for the book you ordered lets us edit it for clarity and deliver it with that story and private listening experience. It does not authorize us to clone, synthesize, or generate new words in that voice. A voice model, future narration, or posthumous use requires a separate consent.
What you confirm
By submitting photographs and recordings you confirm that you have permission from every recognizable adult and, for each minor, from that minor's parent or legal guardian. The materials may be used as source material to write, illustrate, and produce your book and private listening experience.
We do not use children's photographs, family images, or recordings in public advertising, social media, or samples unless you give a separate, express release.
